a woman who inspires others

Michelle Obama once said, “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish”. She is a black woman who made and is making history not only in the United States but also all around the world. People never believed what she was capable of achieving in terms of goals and projects since she was “just the president´s wife”. Very often people consider that first ladies don’t do much, but Michelle proves them wrong; she showed that women do not have limits to raise their voices, participate and act on behalf of their beliefs.
She is Michelle La Vaughn Robinson Obama, a lawyer, and a writer. She was the first ever African-American First Lady of the United States. She is known for being persistent, a believer and a dreamer. Empowering people, especially young girls, commits Michelle to help others and make a better world. She has always dreamed about a world with higher education and empowering women.
Empowerment is overrated in the current society… or so says the world… but what is this? Empowerment is the course of taking action and becoming stronger. Michelle is considered one of many role models due to her life experience and the way she expresses herself. She is also known for loving her family and seizing the day. However, she has not been famous all her life, she has a long story to tell.
Michelle was born and lived in Chicago. She served her community for years, expecting to make a change. Nevertheless, she did not stop there. After joining the university, she took the lead role and created the first community service program. It is evident that she was born with a special gift, a unique talent to make the world (especially women) believe in themselves; always pointing to a great future with young leaders.
Even though she wants every human being to express him or herself, her main goal is to make women stand up for what they believe in. Her ambitious goal: achieve the creation of several movements to promote each of the aspects she talks on her daily basis. Some of these aspects include childhood obesity, healthy lives, education, and employment opportunities. The main foundations are: Let´s move! , Joining Forces, Reach Higher and Let Girls Learn.
You may be wondering, why does she inspire others? Not only does she inspire citizens to believe that their dreams can come true, but also to work hard and leave aside the people who tell them they can’t. Each girl and boy can reach their goals no matter their physical or emotional conditions. No one should forbid you from becoming your ideal self because you are not the First Lady or someone famous. Michelle always aspires to make a better world, and she started with her community and acquaintances. She did not stop because some Americans did not have faith in her.
Michelle is a role model; she is a person we as women should look up to. In her book, “Becoming”, she mentions how she found her voice and how this voice let her grow and become the woman she is now. Before being the First Lady, she was just like you and like me, and she never gave up her dreams. Michelle emphasizes the importance of feeling proud of being a woman, and that we should embrace this role and make our voices sound loud and clear. In conclusion, she is passionate, grateful, optimistic and a leader. She is definitely the leader we hope the world would have plenty of, so let´s believe we are one too and make a change!
